Happy Valentines Day!

I love Valentine’s Day and can’t seem to get enough of all the oh-so-sweet jewelry, trinkets, cupcakes, chocolates, flowers and basically anything pink. Here are a few of my favorite Valentine’s Day gift ideas.

I heart this Juicy Couture Pavé Petals Adjustable Flower Ring which comes packaged in an adorable pink and gold flower box.

If your sweetheart travels, this Marc by Marc Jacobs Cosmetic Bag is just what she needs to stylishly store all her beauty essentials. Love the bow print!

You can’t not love these super cute Valentino Platform Pumps. Patent leather upper/leather lining and sole. Made in Italy.

Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion for champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and a romantic bubble bath! For a bubble bath that smells good enough to eat try the Philosophy 'Pink Frosted Layer Cake', a high-foaming shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath in one.

You’ll feel glamorous getting ready for a hot Valentine’s Day date with this pretty Dior Lace Face Highlighting Powder.

If you love lipgloss then you need this Smashbox Roller Lip Gloss that leaves your lips with a hint of shimmer so you can smooch your way through Valentine’s Day. I also like that this gloss has a roller applicator because brush wands are SO out.

This Gorjana Leather Wrap Bracelet makes a perfect Valentine’s Day gift! It’s versatile enough to wear with a dress and yet casual enough to pair with jeans and a t-shirt.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Spring 2010 Trend: Leather

The leather trend has carried over from fall and into spring but you don't have to be a bad-ass to pull off this trend.  Whether you prefer a dress, a hoody, a classic mini skirt, shorts or a jacket, there's definitely something for everyone.

This leather pencil skirt from YSL is serious enough to wear to the office and yet sexy enough to wear on a hot date. Love.

The Versace Spring Collection would have been incomplete without an embellished leather mini like this one.

Shorts are in for Spring 10 and these leather Emporio Armani shorts are a fresh new way to wear the leather trend.

I love the bow detail on these leather shorts by Charlotte Ronson and the spacious pockets definitely seal the deal.

For girls who prefer to go with the classics how about this quarter sleeve leather jacket by Blumarine.

This Balenciaga leather hoody is the perfect layering piece for the spring/summer transition.

Spring 2010 Trend: Feathers

One of my favorite Spring 2010 trends is the feather.  Whether you wear it as part of an evening gown ensemble or as a wrap to cover your shoulders this fun trend is the perfect way to celebrate spring fashion and add a stylish touch to your wardrobe.

Decorating with Decals

Living in a rental and dying to decorate? Painting is SO last year and guess what? Wall decals have come a long way. For those of you new to the wall decal game, the story is simple. Stick it on and peel it off. It's that easy and Blik has graphics to satisfy every personality and decorating style.

Blik is perfect for people who love to decorate but don't want to commit to wallpaper or a certain shade of paint. Within minutes, you can transform the look of any room in your house and when you’re tired of your design you can remove the decal and start over again.

I love the mirror frame! It makes an otherwise plain mirror look oh so chic!

Or how about using decals in lieu of a wooden headboard? LOVE.

How about decorating the floor with doilies? OMG so cute. Makes me want to have a tea party!

If you think your room would look better with shelves but don't want to physically install them, this is the perfect solution for you!

You can even use decals to decorate chair backs. Such a cute idea!!!

Savvy Girls Love Peep Toe Shoes

If you’re obsessed with shoes you need to know about Peep Toe Shoes, a shoe line based out of Sydney, Australia. The first collection was launched in October of 2006 and the company has been going strong ever since. Designer Nikki Hager says, "From the very beginning, stilettos have always been my absolute passion. I love the way a pair of stilettos can change a woman's behavior and elongate her physique. My shoes are made for fashion savvy, sophisticated women who are not afraid to express their individuality."

There’s a long list of celebrities who love Peep Toe Shoes including Lauren Bosworth, Kelly Rowland, The Kardashian Sisters, Rachel Finch, Nicky Hilton and more. Plus, the line is regularly featured in publications such as Instyle, Cosmo, Marie Claire and Vogue.

My faves from the Peep Toe Line for Spring 2010 are:

Miss Dionesia, a nude heel that will pair perfectly with your spring wardrobe.

Miss Fifi Belle is the perfect way to add a splash of color for spring. These delicious shoes have a beautiful fish scale effect and a fun open toe detail.

For those of you craving a little more color, how about these Miss Lulu electric purple pumps.

Had I know about these amazing silk nude pumps last summer I would have worn them for my wedding! The gorgeous bow is a beautiful touch and the built-in platform is made with 3 layers of cushioning for optimum comfort.

The Miss Buckingham shoe is perfect for spring since the colors are muted making this shoe versatile enough to wear with denim or a pretty dress.

Don’t forget to follow Peep Toe on Facebook and Twitter! And, if you’re having a hard time finding a stylish calendar for 2010, download this fashion forward calendar courtesy of Peep Toe Shoes. (Each month a new page will be released!)

Shop online at Peep Toe, the selection of shoes and colors are unreal. Cheers!

My parents thought I was going to grow up to be an arsonist because when I was a teenager I was obsessed with scented candles...and needless to say, I still am. My current obsession is A Scent of Scandal, an eco-friendly soy candle line that offers more than 40+ scandalous scents.

My fave scents from the line include '8 Inches (banana), Airhead (cotton candy), Gold Digger (Carat Cake), MILF (milk and cookies), Two-Timer (chocolate & vanilla), Skinny Bitch (waifer), Big Daddy (hardwood), Lick Me (lollipop), and DILF (shaving cream).

Zappos Introduces Zappo Life Catalog

Zappos.com, the online retailer that specializes in shoes, published a catalog in December to help solicit holiday sales. The catalog titled "Zappos Life" was distributed to over 750,000 customers and focused on shoes, handbags, jewelry, clothing and fragrances. Check out a digital copy of the catalog by clicking here. Brands featured in the premier issue included
Guess, Calvin Klein, Lucky, Stila, True Religion and Stuart Weitzman among others.

“Different people respond to different media,” Zappos Director of brand marketing and business development Aaron Magness, told the New York Times. Zappos has tested two prior catalogs before sending out Zappos Life in December and are reviewing all aspects of the final product including page count and paper weight. Magness also noted that Zappos is planning a spring catalog and possibly several other themed catalogs including weddings and housewares.

Assouline Expands Retail Reach

Assouline, the husband and wife publishing team responsible for numerous titles including the American Fashion Cookbook, American Fashion Menswear, Dressing in the Dark, The Little Black Dress and dozens of other fashion and style books, is expanding it’s reach into retail and luxury services. It’s next store will open in Las Vegas (next door to Cartier) as part of a new multibillion-dollar resort, retail, and residential complex. Newsweek reports that Assouline is betting the owners of the many new apartments above the shopping and leisure facilities will treat his new store—with its specially designed sofas, stylish dĂ©cor, custom library service, and vintage corner—as a furniture and decorative-items supplier, as well as a bookshop. "If you want to build a kitchen you go to Bulthaup; for the bedroom it is Frette; and if you want to create a library you go to Assouline," he says. Assouline's soothing French accent and persuasive manner combine to make that logic seem as natural as night following day.

About Assouline
Assouline Publishing has created fine illustrated books, luxury editions and an exquisite gift line dedicated to fashion, photography, art and design. Renowned for their highly original graphic concept, Assouline books are a work of art that capture culture and brings it to life. The spirit and 'savoir faire' of these works have contributed to the creation of a unique and eclectic, chic and elegant brand that is immediately identifiable. Today, Assouline publications, special editions and gift items can be found around the globe in select high end retail locations and Assouline boutiques. In 2010 Assouline plans to open up a corner store at London’s Harvey Nichols and a second one at Sotheby’s in Paris.

Assouline has a partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (which helps explain their numerous fashion industry titles) but they also publish books on art, design, travel, culinary arts and lifestyles. In addition to publishing books, Assouline also operates a small creative agency which creates the ads for Chanel watches and Harry Winston campaigns.
