Beauty Must: MAC Holiday Brush Set

I love the holidays for many reasons but mostly because I love all the great gift sets that all my favorite cosmetic companies debut. My current obsession is the MAC Holiday Brush Set "Sweep Me Off My Feet" which comes with 5 essential brushes: a face powder/blush brush, a contour brush, a foundation brush, an eyeliner brush, and an eyeshadow brush. I can't decide what I like more- the gold hardware on the brushes or the fact that the set comes in an amazing plaid bag with a detachable patent leather strap so it can be worn across the body as a purse. The set is only $49.50 which is pretty insane considering that if you bought these brushes separately (and without the sweet bag) you would be spending over $140+.

Don't forget the M.A.C. brush cleanser. This product can help you lengthen the lifetime of your brushes, plus regular cleansing of your brushes will help keep skin clear and blemish-free! (That's a major bonus in my beauty book!)

The World's Most Comfortable Pump

Comfort is a huge factor for many of the clients I style so in order to compromise comfort in the name of fashion I constantly recommend Kenneth Cole New York '925 Pumps. They are stylish and so comfortable you'll forget you're wearing a high heel. (Seriously!) 925 technology combines Poron® memory foam with flax-seed cushioning for essential comfort that lasts all day. The heel is just a little over 3'' making this heel practical and chic.

Seattle: AllSaints is Coming!

While shopping in London I couldn't help but notice the overwhelming number of AllSaints stores sprinkled throughout the city. There was even a pop-shop inside Selfridges dedicated to the brand. So needless to say I was ecstatic when I learned that Seattle would be getting our very own! Earlier this week the windows on the 12,000 square foot store located at 5th & Pine revealed the AllSaints signature sewing machines and the excitement immediately set in. AllSaints is a London-based clothing store chain that will sell apparel & accessories for men, women and children. There's also a great vintage section on the website worth browsing if you're looking for something unique- or you can cut to the chase all together and peruse the fabulous shoe section instead.

Must Have Fashion App: myPANTONE

My hip friend Vivian recently turned me on to a stylish new iphone app I can't live without! myPANTONE for the iPhone and iPod lets you take a picture of anything and instantly matches the colors in the picture to the PANTONE® color libraries. From there you can build color palettes and share them with colleagues and clients. This is a great app to use while trend shopping so that you can quickly and easily reference colors when you get back to the office.

5 Fall Favorites - Never Out of Style

Fall is upon us here in Seattle which means wind, rain and of course, an occasional power outage. When it comes to my fall wardrobe I prefer timeless classics that can be worn over and over again in tandem with the seasonal trends. Here are my 5 favorite picks!

# 1- A long sleeved dress is a must-have for fall. The weather is so volatile here in the city that dresses like this one can be worn with a pair of pumps on a sunny day and with a pair of tights and boots on a day that calls for rain. I also love the idea of belting a long sleeve dress to keep the look polished and chic.

#2- An easy scarf is another fall essential on days when you need to bundle up. This eternity scarf from Urban Outfitters is a no-brainer because it's circular shape makes it easy to wrap around twice without the fuss. Branch out from basic black and try a yummy fall color like royal purple or navy blue.

#3- Kim Kardashian isn't the only one who can pull off beautiful sterling silver hoop earrings. A great pair of quality silver hoops are the perfect compliment to any outfit. Peering out from under a knit beret hat is a stylish look for fall, especially when paired with a simple peacoat, skinny jeans and tall boots.

#4- A pair of pointed toe flats is another fabulous shoe option for any season and especially great for fall. This shoe is a stylish alternative to skyscraper high heels and the leopard print makes this flat both interesting and on-trend.

#5- Last but not least, a pair of Whooga Boots by Whooga is my final fall staple. They come in 3 lengths (ankle, mid and knee high) and are available in 7 colors (purple is my favorite!). Plus, for a limited time if you sign up for the Whooga mailing list you'll be entered to win a FREE pair.

A Sign of the Times- No More JCP Catalogs

J.C. Penney will no longer be producing their signature "big book" catalogs and have switched over to smaller look-book mailers instead. The catalog for the Plaxo-based department store started in 1963 and grew to a $1 billion dollar business in 1979. “We made approximately 25 catalog mailings in 2010, which was less than we’ve had in previous years as we’ve been replacing our traditional ‘big book’ catalogues with more focused cross-channel marketing pieces sent to customers on a targeted basis,” a Penney’s spokeswoman told WWD. Costs for postage and printing have increased making the catalog business less efficient than other forms of marketing. Catalogs are bad for the environment anyway and trust me, you'll have more fun shopping on Jcp.com and checking out the People Style Watch look-books.

The entire space occupies over 35,000 square feet which means it takes up most of the 2nd floor of the London-based department store. Fashion Saver: At Home Dry-Cleaning

Dry cleaning just got a little bit easier and affordable with Dryel's new line of products that help you turn your dryer into a steam cleaning machine. The at-home dry cleaning system safely steams and cleans clothing in three simple steps. Zip It, Steam It and Hang it. You can place up to 4 garments at a time in the Dryel Bag and add the pre-moistened Dryel cloth and you zip close. Then you place the bag in your dryer on medium heat for 15-30 minutes. When the time's up you simply remove your garments from the bag and hang them to dry to help wrinkles fall out. OMG so much easier than taking a trip to the dry cleaner, waiting 24 hours (or more) and then going back to pick it up. This is perfect for dark denim jeans, lightly soiled sweaters, delicate party dresses and anything else you would normally dry clean only. Click here for more details.

Introducing: REVEAL Handbags

The latest in eco-luxury is a handbag line based out of Seattle! Made of recycled plastic bottles, these handbags are perfect for women who want to be sexy and socially conscious. REVEAL’s earth and animal friendly products include fabulous women’s handbags and wallets, men’s messenger bags, bamboo accessories, and eco-modern mobile accessories for the iPad and iPhone. Meticulously designed for fashion-forward trendsetters who care about the planet REVEAL handbags merge classic designs with sustainable materials including recycled microsuede, recycled satin, vegan leather, and recycled zippers. REVEAL is also helping to restore the planet with American Forests by planting a tree for every item purchased.

Here are my top 5 picks from the REVEAL line.

# 1- The Vegan Superstar bag is composed of Recycled Polyester made of old plastic water bottles, hemp, vegan leather and a recycled zipper. I love the shiny color of the leather and the sporty-vibe of the bag which is further enhanced by the hemp handles and the metal hardware. This bag comes in black, white or ruby (as shown) and is 10% off for a limited time only.

# 2- The Hipster Satchel is another favorite. It's classic, clean and big enough to accommodate everything you need to tote around. I carrying around everything but the kitchen sink in my bag so this option is perfect for me! The Hipster Satchel is made out of hemp and has an adjustable/removable shoulder strap and vegan leather handles. *LOVE*

# 3- I am in love with this bamboo watch! This smart and elegant bamboo watch is handcrafted out of natural bamboo which means it's got none of that strange BPA and phthalate stuff found in plastic! I bet tons of savvy Seattleites would love to have this cool watch on their holiday wish list.

# 4- At just over $25 this wallet is a must on my list. The Boho Chic Wallet is made from hemp and adorned with cruelty-free pink vegan leather. The pink accents had me at HELLO but the price seals the deal. This wallet would also make a great eco-friendly holiday gift or stocking stuffer.

# 5- I'm a sucker for hardware on handbags so this Malia Clutch is totally up my alley. It has a gold-tone metal chain that can be worn cross body or on shoulder. It also has a great gold plated turn-lock closure and a recycled satin lining. This bag is eco-luxe at it's finest and perfect for a night on the town!

Club Monaco Makes Shopbop.com Debut

Club Monaco may be new to the world of E-commerce but that didn't stop them from taking the plunge yesterday with a capsule collection debut on Shopbop.com. This is the first time the brand has been available online despite overwhelming consumer demand. "We get daily requests for online shopping and we want to satisfy our customers and bring it to them in a very special way,”Ann Watson, Club Monaco’s VP of marketing and communications told Women's Wear Daily.

The 30-piece collection was chosen by Shopbop’s fashion director, Kate Ciepluch and ranges in price from $24-$1,100.
Club Monaco promoted the launch by hosting a tweet-up at their store on 57th street in Manhattan the evening before the launch. “The social media route speaks to our customer. It’s viral and when you work with tweeting, you already have an engaged consumer. Even though we aren’t fully engaged yet, we’ve been very strategic about this the past six months,” Watson said, citing a recent blogger event and a collaboration with blogger and photographer Garance Doré, who shot a look book for one of the brand’s fall collections.

Top 5 Sephora Sets

I am obsessed with lots of things but this time of year my focus shifts to all the fabulous holiday gift sets from Sephora. Here are the top 5 sets on my radar right now.

#1- Smashbox Eye Wish Palette
Valued at $240+ this set is a total steal at $45. It comes with 12 shadows, 4 cream eyeliners, a travel size Photo Finish Lid Primer and Mini Lash DNA Mascara all packaged in a glam gold mirrored keepsake box. The set provides endless color combinations and shadows include champagne, soft gray, matte bone, ballet pink, shimmering bronze, mauve, aqua, cool gray, warm brown, eggplant, deep teal, and charcoal. Smashbox is also donating $1 for every WISH purchase up to $25,000 to the Children's Miracle network, a non-profit organization that grants the wish of life by providing medical care, life-saving research and on-going education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind. If you love Smashbox, you'll also want to check out the Gold Wish set.

#2- Sephora Favorites 'Give Me Some Lip'
I am never caught without at least half a dozen tubes of lipgloss in my handbag at any given time, which probably explains why I'm in love with the Sephora 'Give Me Some Lip' set. It comes with a gloss for every mood and situation including Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Sex Pot, Tarte Vitamin-Infused Lipgloss in 40 Winks, Lorac Multiplex 3D Lip Gloss in Cliché, Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Radiant, Buxom Lips in Roxanne and more. $40

#3- Beauty in a Box: NARS Junkie
This set contains all of Sephora's fave NARS products including a mini Multiple Orgasm (yes!), Cream shadow in Unconditional Love, Lip Gloss in Ophelia, an essential eye palette with 6 luxe colors, and a mini bronzer in Laguna.
The kit also comes with an illustrated, step-by-step guides for creating three distinct looks: "Bronzed Glow, Sparkling Eye," "Romantic and Radiant," and "A Sophisticated, Smoldering Eye." For $69 this set is a great value and shipping is free on Sephora.com. Hooray!

#4- Stila Lip Glaze Set
For $25 this set is such a good value. The glosses are just a smidge smaller than the normal tubes and the pigment has a ton of color so the glosses wear more like a glossy lipstick than a sheer gloss. The set of 8 contains a full color range so you can indulge in fun colors like bright pinks and shimmery reds to wear when you're feeling sassy.

#5- Sephora Perfect Ten Brush Set
Even the best products can look less than stellar when they aren't applied correctly, which is why every woman needs a great brush set to help complete their signature beauty look. This 10-piece Sephora set contains brushes for face, lips and eyes including a concealer brush, a contour brush, a fan brush (for shading) and more. Plus, Sephora will donate $1 from the sale of this product to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime.
