West Elm is now open in Seattle

The wait is over! West Elm has officially opened it's doors for business on Westlake avenue across from the Whole Foods. The space is absolutely beautiful and has filled a much needed void for modern home decor and furnishings here in Seattle. VIP guests enjoyed a private preview last night complete with champagne and music by DJ Ricki Leigh to celebrate the grand opening.

Needless to say, the store is already decorated with holiday merchandise including Christmas trees with all the trimmings. These glitter feathers (shown above) caught my eye.

And what would the holiday season be without a nutcracker and a snow globe? (Shown above) These nutcrackers would make a great hostess gift or add festive charm to a holiday tablescape.

Ornaments like these (shown above) bring out the DIY artist in me, but then I remember that I like instant gratification and stock up on the ones that I don't have the time (or energy) to duplicate at home.

As the weather turns colder you'll want to explore the plethora of great bedding options at West Elm, including the upholstered headboards. I'm currently obsessed with the nailhead option (shown below).

If you're not in the market for new bedding then head to the kitchen section of West Elm for domestic inspiration. A rainbow of coffee mugs, cooking utensils, cups, plates and bowls await.

And last but not least....

I'm excited to announce that I'm now the owner of a purple Pop phone. I had to do a bit of explaining to friends and family because most people doesn't really understand the beauty of having one of these sweet plug-ins for your iPhone. Aside from the nostalgia of having an old school phone the Pop phone also prevents me from getting a kink in my neck when having long conversation- and honestly, this phone just looks cool. Now excuse me while I phone a friend. :)
