Easy Ways to Brighten Up Your Wardrobe

This season is all about going bold or going home. Colorful key items and accessories can bring your outfits to life and add some much needed sunshine to your day regardless of the weather forecast.

The Bright Idea this season is to infuse color into your wardrobe in the form of powerful pops of color. Pictured Above - 1. Teaberry Pink North Face Jacket 2. Kate Spade Wallet 3. Juicy Couture Tech Gloves and iPhone Case 4. Jack Martin Motosurf Neon Orange Sunglasses 5. Neff Daily Beanie from Zumiez.

Sometimes adding a daily dose of color is as easy as swapping out your handbag. Here are a few colorful favorites. Pictured Above - 1. Kate Spade Post Street Nadine Yellow Bag 2. Reed Krakoff Leather Tote 3. Michael Kors Gia Clutch 4. Proenza Schouler PS1 Bag 5. Marc by Marc Jacobs Katie Bag.

If too much color feels like too much commitment you can always start small with accessories. Many of the items featured above are under $100. Experiment with color and texture until you find the right combination that works perfectly for you. Pictured Above - 1. Valentino Cuff. 2. Kendra Scott 'Danielle' earrings 3. BCBG Croc Ring 4. Marc by Marc Jacobs Logo Bracelet 5. Rebecca Minkoff Heart Stone Earrings 6. Juicy Couture Parrot Charm.

Shoes say a lot about a person. Why not show the world how much fun you are with a colorful pair of shoes? The right pair of shoes can add so much personality to an outfit and make you smile every time you look at your feet. Pictured Above - 1. Alexander McQueen Seleucus Skull Shoe 2. Giuseppe Zanotti Suede Bootie 3. DV by Dolce Vita Briar Shoe 4. Aldo Wolny Yellow Suede Shoe 5. Valentino Rockstud Pump 6. Aldo Banet Wedge.

And finally, infuse a little color into your life by way of your make-up bag. Color cosmetics are trending in a major way this season and they're a great way to express your personal style. Pictured Above - 1. Make Up For Ever Pure Pigment 2. Nars Purple Eyeshadow 3. Estee Lauder Color Vivid Lipstick 4. Urban Decay Woodstock Eyeshadow 5. Julep Favorite Things Nail Color Set 6. YSL Pure Chromatics Eyeshadow Palette.

Nordstrom to host Lizzie Parker trunk show

Local designer Lizzie Parker earned major kudos from Anne Vincent, Director of Events and Merchandising for Vogue magazine back in September when the two met during Bellevue Fashion Week. Anne saw Lizzie's designs go down the runway at the Independent Designer fashion show and loved one of her dresses so much that she wore it to the Vogue Front Row fashion show later that week (pictured above). Lizzie has since re-named the dress "Anne" in her honor.

The Bellevue Collection is proud to report that Seattle-based Nordstrom has since picked up the dress just in time for the holiday season and made it available to the masses. We love that Nordstrom supports the local fashion scene! The dress is made in the USA and available online at Nordstrom.com.

Lizzie Parker will be hosting a special trunk show and personal appearance this Saturday, December 1st at the Nordstrom in Bellevue. The event will take place from 1-3pm on the 2nd floor in the Special Occasion department. This is a free event and open to the public. Stop by to support an amazing local fashion designer!
