Save the date: The Gilt City Warehouse Sale is coming soon

Gilt City will be hosting it's first Seattle warehouse shopping sale on Friday, July 26th at 415 Westlake in South Lake Union. This not-to-be missed event will feature deep discounts on Gilt's top designer brands for men, women and kids. Some items will be marked down as much as 90% off retail! According to Vogue, Gilt City  shopping events channel the "online shopping phenomenon" and bring it offline where shoppers can peruse a curated mix of Gilt City brands right in their own communities.  The merchandise mix will include apparel, accessories, shoes, jewelry, home furnishings including bedding, kitchen and bath accessories, home decor and much more from brands like Helmut Lang and Brian Atwood. In addition to an awesome assortment of merchandise guests will enjoy music by a live DJ, refreshments by Coco Cafe and AQUAhydrate, an on-site photo booth, and an on-site bar sponsored by La Marca Prosecco. The event runs from 5pm-12:30am and tickets to the Gilt City Warehouse Sale range from $5-10. Early admission access is already sold-out! More info at: http://www.giltcity.com/seattle/gcwarehousesea.

City City Seattle Curator Rebecca Skidmore offers a few helpful hits on how to shop the sale:

#1- Leggings and tank tops- Wear tight fitting clothing like leggings and tank tops so that you can quickly and easily try on clothing at the sale. But don't worry- fitting rooms will also be available.

#2- Easy Shoes- There's going to be some amazing shoes at the warehouse sale. Be sure to wear shoes that you can easily slip on and off like a pair of easy flats or sandals.

#3- Jacket and Purse- All shoppers will need to check their coats and purses at the door. Be prepared and plan accordingly. We suggest wearing something with pockets so that you can easily carry around your credit card, ID and cell phone.

#4- Go easy on your accessories- Big bracelets, dangly earrings, watches and necklaces will only get in the way of trying new stuff on.

#5- Plastic- No cash is accepted. Be prepared and bring your credit or debit card to shop.

Seattle Boutique Blogspot is giving away 2 pairs of tickets to the Gilt City Seattle Warehouse Sale for the 8:30-10:30pm late night shopping session. Make it a girls night and bring your friends for a night of stylish summer shopping in South Lake Union. To enter, all you need to do is tweet a link to this post using the hashtag #Raidthewarehouse and include our twitter handle @Sydlovesfashion to be entered to win. Winners will be announced on July 15th, 2013. Good luck and happy shopping!

The Best Blow Dry Bars around the world

I'm what you might call a "blow dry aficionado". As someone with a lot of hair, a great blow dry isn't a small luxury, it's an essential experience. This is especially true when I travel because there's no way I'm hauling around all the styling tools and products that I require to manage my mane. I love experiencing new blow dry bars, from Seattle to New York and London, here's a look at the best blow dry bars around the world.

// Seattle //
Gary Manuel Studio
This Aveda concept salon is one of the brilliant brand new additions to the up-and-coming South Lake Union neighborhood in Seattle and blow-outs are just $35. The blow dry experience comes with complimentary extras like shoulder massages, hand therapy, scalp treatments and make-up application for the perfect final touch.
Location: 390 Westlake Ave. N. Seattle, WA 98109
Site: www.garymanuelstudio.com
Beauty Tip: Don't forget to take pics at their in-salon photo booth from Usnaps!

// New York //
Dry Bar
This blow dry bar saved my life on a recent trip to New York. In major need of a wash and blow dry they were able to get me in on short notice and offered me a complimentary glass of champagne to help me unwind. It was pure bliss and my hair looked amazing afterward! I also love that every station had a place to charge your iPhone.

Beauty Tip: Don't skip the champagne! Have another!

// Santa Barbara //
Shine Blow Dry Bar
A signature blow out with a 10-minute scalp massage is only $38, regardless of hair length. Special occasion blow outs for children under 9 are $30 which are great for family photos or weddings. // San Diego //
Paradise Point
Although not a traditional blow dry bar, the spa at Paradise Point in San Diego is home to a small salon on-site that offers blow outs to guests who don't want to bother doing their own hair. Both times I've stayed at the resort I've used the services in the salon and had a great experience. You can't beat the convenience.
