Fashion Field Trip: Thompson Seattle Holiday Sip & Shop

After a successful fall fashion series featuring local designers and boutiques, Thompson Seattle hosted a special holiday shopping event at The Nest to give Seattle fashion fans a fun and easy way to shop local. Featured brands included Andieanderin, Armoire, F E R A L, LumberUnion, Moonlit Skincare, Moorea Seal, and more. Take a deeper dive into the featured brands showcased at the holiday shopping event and please check out my Fashion Field Trip video featuring fellow blogger and YouTuber Rachel Waldorf.

Andieanderin - This company has ties (no pun intended) on the East and West Coast. Co-founder Lisa (pictured above) moved to New York earlier this year while her partner Cara continues to run the operation here in Seattle. Andieaderin makes a gorgeous assortment of neckties inspired by influential women both past and present. They just celebrated their one-year anniversary and recently added 5 new styles to the line. Shop online here: Andieanderin.com

Armoire - This local startup recently raised $3M in new funding to help grow and expand its offering. At its core, Armoire is a clothing rental company for women, but it's so much more. Read the full story online in the Sunday Seattle Times. Sign up for a monthly membership at Armoire.style

Coupe Rokei - This downtown hair salon is located across the street from The Thompson hotel and is locally owned by Rory McGowan. They do fabulous hair, make-up, and skincare including microcurrent facials and they also sell a large assortment of Oribe hair and beauty products. Check out their latest announcement in our fashion field trip video below.

F E R A L - This cool local handbag and leather accessory line owned by Shannon Fisher is 100% made in the U.S.A. and recently reached its funding goal on Kickstarter which means the brand can add more styles and colors to the already fabulous collection. Shop online and learn more about this cool local brand at FeralFeral.com

LumberUnion - If you're just hearing about this Seattle-based lifestyle brand you're not alone. They are fairly new on the scene and they have some major things coming for 2019. The vibe is laid-back PNW and the merchandise includes styles for men and women. Meet founder Anthony Bergin and hear what he has to say about the brand in our Fashion Field Trip Video linked below. LumberUnion.com

Moonlit Skincare - Ok this isn't technically a local brand but they do have a local presence by way of Knack Shops on Capitol Hill. I'm in love with Moonlit's Midnight Shift Overnight Facial Oil and I'm pleased to report that they recently added several new products to the line-up including the Powder Down Powder and the Slumber Bath Salts. Rumor has it there's also a sleepy time tea coming next spring. Meet founder Stephanie Kim in the video below and shop online at MoonlitSkincare.com

OULA- This cool local company focuses on small-batch artisanal garments and accessories that are globally styled and sourced. Founder Erika Dalya Massaquoi will be on-site at the Sip & Shop. Learn more about her story here

Pipe & Row - This Fremont boutique is well-known for it's West Coast vibe and curated mix of brands. In addition to apparel, they also stock a fashion-forward assortment of jewelry, handbags, accessories, and home goods. Shop online at Pipeandrow.com.

Scotch & Soda - With two stores in the Seattle area (Capitol Hill and University Village), Scotch & Soda is making their mark on the city. The merchandise mix includes clothing and accessories for men and women and the prints this season are SO GOOD. They have great gifts this year including hats, socks, gloves, and many of them are priced under $150. Shop the Seattle store at 1530 Melrose Ave.

Moorea Seal - Local fashion fans got to meet Moorea Seal in person at the Thompson Seattle holiday Sip & Shop event and shop from a curated assortment of merchandise handpicked from the shop. Her books The 52 Lists Project and 52 Lists for Happiness make great holiday gifts! MooreaSeal.com

Union Studio Metals - Self-described as adornment for "free-roaming gypsies with androgynous taste", Union Studio Metals makes beautiful pieces by hand using a range of metals and materials. View the collections online here.
