FGI Seattle hosts Fall/Winter '13 Trend Event on Capitol Hill

Fashion Group International hosts semi-annual trend event on Capitol Hill

Join FGI Seattle as they explore the top fashion trends for Fall/Winter 2013. The event will include a video recap of the top runway shows from New York, London, Paris and Milan plus a panel discussion of how the trends translate to the Northwest. Moderated by local designer Lizzie Parker  who was featured on season one of NBC's Fashion Star, the panel will include Nordstrom Trend Director Adam Moon, Interior designer and FIDM Alumni Heather Kirk Riley and 425 Magazine Fashion Editor Lauren Foster. During the first hour of sipping, snacking and socializing guests will be treated to a Julep Lipstick Trio so that Jilly Eddy, founder of the Art and Science of Lip Print Reading can interpret the lip prints on a signature 'Kiss Card'. Rosaline Hampton hosts spring beauty event to raise funds for 3rd Annual Fashion Camp

The trends are here but do you know how to make them work for you? Discover the season's top hair, make-up and wardrobe trends and gain insight on the most flattering ways to wear them on Thursday, April 25th from 6-8pm at the Rosaline Hampton Salon in Bellevue. Guests will indulge in drinks and hors d'oeuvres while learning how to achieve the hottest spring/summer looks. Rosaline Hampton and her team of stylists will customize trends for each guest including a complimentary color palette analysis and a swag bag brimming with full sized hair and make-up products. The trend event is a fundraiser for the 3rd Annual Rosaline Hampton Fashion Camp, a non-profit summer camp experience designed to inspire and empower at-risk teens. A suggested donation of $250 will reserve your space and 100% of the proceeds will go directly toward the Fashion Camp fund. Admission to Fashion Camp is at no-cost to the participants and each teen receives a special “Fashion Camp Kit” filled with beauty products and swag provided by generous community sponsors. At the end of the week the girls "graduate" from camp by participating in a special runway show finale for friends and family. Rosaline Hampton sponsors the entire event and closes the salon for business while Fashion Camp is in session. Donations from community sponsors and event partners help to off-set the costs associated with camp supplies and materials. Designer Debut: Vantha Ry

Designer Vantha Ry may be tiny but she’s making a BIG debut into the fashion community this week as she graduates from the Art Institute of Seattle. Her new collection of petite size clothing is designed to fill the void for women who stand 5’4’’ or under (just like her). “I have always had a difficult time finding clothing that fit properly and that suited my personal style. All the petite clothing I have come across was always so boxy and too conservative,” says Vantha,” Petite women need a line they can turn to and love!”

As the daughter of a seamstress Vantha learned how to sew and do alterations at a very young age. Her collection took shape as she began customizing her own pieces and adjusting style elements to make each design her own. “I did a lot of ruffles in my latest collection,” says Vantha, “I love fun details!” Vantha’s current line includes an assortment of sheer blouses with ruffle detailing and sweetheart-neck dresses.

1st Annual Blush Fashion & Trend Event
