A new way to buy denim is here and guess what? It involves your smart phone.
Nadia Shourabora knew there had to be a better way to buy jeans. So in an effort to make the denim buying experience more efficient for everyone, she developed Hointer. The retail store is designed around technology and to start shopping, customers simply download the Hointer app, head into the nearest Hointer store and then scan the items they want to try on. The app sends a message to a computer in the back room which relays information about the style/size and which dressing room the customer is in. The items appear through a chute in the dressing room, and any items the customer decides not to purchase are placed in another chute for easy restocking. Featured brands include Northwest favorites like Tommy Bahama and Agave Denim, plus staples like DL1961, Nudie, Paige Premium denim, Joe's, Citizens of Humanity, Levis, True Religion, AG, 7 for all Mankind and more.
By bringing the convenience of online shopping to a brick-and-mortar store Nadia has been able to give tech-savvy customers an easier way to shop. The company currently has stores in Wallingford and Palo Alto with a Downtown Seattle store inside Pacific Place slated to open June 1st.
