Fashion Calendar: Goodwill Glitter Sale

The Seattle Goodwill Glitter Sale has arrived! Taking place this weekend, Nov. 8th and 9th, the 31st annual sale just keeps getting bigger and better. Shoppers will find designer pieces from labels like Burberry, DVF, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Betsey Johnson, Trina Turk, Michael Kors and more. Upon arrival Glitter Sale shoppers should head to the designated table outside the store to get a number for access to shop the sale. Racks will be re-stocked through out the weekend but as always, the best stuff goes first! All sales benefit Goodwill's free job training and education programs that help individuals in our community gain meaningful employment.

Shop for a cause: The 30th Annual Goodwill Glitter Sale is coming Nov. 9th and 10th

Time flies when you're having fun. This year Seattle Goodwill is hosting it's 30th annual Glitter Sale which will take place this weekend, November 9th and 10th. 

This year's designer highlights for the annual Goodwill Glitter sale include Burberry, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Trina Turk, Michael Kors and more. Admission is free to the two-day sale which will run daily November 9th and 10th from 9am-6pm. “I am excited to be celebrating 30 years of the Glitter Sale because this is one of the ways to support our free job training and education programs,” said Cindi Forslund, Vice President of Operations for Goodwill. “This year we expanded the Glitter Sale space so there are even more fabulous items to shop.”

To help expedite shopping Goodwill will be using a numbering system so that customers do not need to stand in line for prolonged periods of time.  Upon arrival at the sale, customers should go to the table outside the store to get their number. The number is both entrance to the sale and the number to access the jewelry counter. Racks will be restocked throughout the weekend. New this year: Uber has teamed up with Seattle Goodwill to offer new users their first ride FREE up to $20 to make shopping the sale easier.  Just sign up by using promo code: GLITTERSEA. (The promo code is good through 11/30/13).

Goodwill’s Glitter Sale Approaches

With over 800+ shoppers last year, the 26th Annual Goodwill Glitter Sale aims to surpass that number next weekend when they open the doors at the Dearborne Street Goodwill location. The two-day sale will feature some of the most unique fashion finds including one-of-a kind vintage items, designer shoes, off-label jackets, faux fur vests, accessories, estate jewelry and more! You never know what you’ll find in this treasure hunt, but rumors have been leaked that Glitter Sale organizers have spotted Moschino, Prada, Miu Miu and more while sorting through sale items. Last year the sale raised over $140,000 for Goodwill to use on various programs including job training, employment placement services and other community programs.  

Make the most of your shopping adventure by going through your closet before the Glitter Sale and donating old items. It’s for a good cause and it will help clear out some room in your closet!
