Craft & Culture hosts one-day only showroom featuring indie designers

If you're been looking for a way to discover the Seattle style scene don't miss Craft & Culture's one-day-only showroom at OBJECT Gallery on September 8th. Craft & Culture has been introducing indie designers to a curated audience of like-minded people since 2011 and is dedicated to providing a platform for designers to be discovered. Be the first to see new pieces from the Fall 2013 collections of over 40+ labels including Logan Neitzel, Blackbird, MORPH knitwear, BZR, Wyatt Orr, Rachel Ravitch, Meghann Sommer and more. "We are so excited to finally bring a physical shopping experience to Seattle in collaboration with the emerging designers we work with," says Hana Ryan, Business Director at Craft & Culture, "We can't wait to show the new collections and have the pieces on hand so that people can feel the knits, try on jewelry and explore what's happening on a global level with the rise of small brands making waves!"

Wyatt Orr is Back!

After a bit of a hiatus, Liise Wyatt and Karly Orr of the Seattle-based clothing line Wyatt Orr are officially back on the style scene. Armed with a Spring '13 Collection and a brand new website the duo is ready to get back to business.

The spring collection features mixed materials, subtle color blocking, asymmetrical hemlines and the impeccable construction that the Wyatt Orr label is famous for. Styles are generously cut to create effortless style and fluid lines. "Our vision for Wyatt Orr is to create well-crafted signature pieces that look and feel amazing," says designer Karly Orr. During the design process there was a major emphasis on creating versatile pieces that could be dressed up or down to accommodate the "varied tones of an urban lifestyle".

The design duo has come a long way since they first met at Ballard's New York Fashion Academy. Back in 2010 Karly Orr was designing solo and Seattle Boutique Blogspot covered her in this designer spotlight. That same year Wyatt Orr was featured in Seattle's Fashion First Runway Show as part of the Clutch set and also participated in Portland Fashion Week where it received rave reviews.
