Bri Seeley introduces "Escape" Collection for Spring

Seattle designer Bri Seeley's collections have always focused on embracing femininity and her spring 2013 line is no exception. Developed around the idea that every woman needs a stylish "escape" the 10-piece collection features beautiful fabrics including silk and cotton in an array of beautiful colors and silhouettes. "I've been in a place over the past year that has caused me to welcome change in my life. Design is my escape from reality," says Bri. Key items from the collection include the "Adriana" dress (pictured at top) made of a gorgeous silk chiffon ombre fabric which is available in two color options and also the "Chloe" dress (second from top) made of lightweight silk and featuring vented sleeves.

The "Escape" collection was recently featured in Papercut magazine, as seen above, photographed by Jeff Delacruz. You can check out the entire editorial spread by visiting the Papercut website. Like what you see? Shop Bri Seeley's "Escape" collection online at BriSeeley.com and use code "ESCAPESHIP" for free shipping on your order.

Bri recently announced to her loyal fans and clients that she is moving to Los Angeles to continue expanding her line and seek out new opportunities for the brand. She began doing custom designs in 2006 and formally launched her namesake line in 2011. The "Escape" collection is the third and largest collection for the designer and we know that the best is yet to come! Good luck Bri!

Stylish finds at deep discounts: The Urban Girls Garage Sale

Get ready! The Urban Girls Garage Sale is coming, brought to you by three very stylish Seattleites including Darnell Sue of Girl Power Hour, Darcy Camden of Styled Seattle and Zong Her, a self proclaimed "Jill of all Trades" and savvy marketing professional. The idea for the Urban Girls Garage Sale came when Zong, an army reservist found out that she would be deployed to Afghanistan in April. Meanwhile, Darnell Sue was contemplating moving to France where her boyfriend just landed a new job. They both realized they had tons of high-quality items that they needed to get rid of in order to move but as city-dwellers had no space to host their own garage sale. Shortly after, the girls connected with Darcy Camden, founder of Styled Seattle. As a stylist, Darcy has helped hundreds of women clean out their closets, and together, the three friends created the Urban Girls Garage Sale."Who has a garage anymore?" says co-founder Darcy Camden, "Most urban girls are lucky to have a parking space! We wanted to give ladies in the Seattle area a chance to come together, sell their stuff and shop other people's treasures in an easy, stylish and fun way."

Taking place on Sunday, March 17th the sale will feature 40+ vendors, a networking cafe, trained stylists on-site to help you shop and plenty of high-quality goods from clothing and accessories to small furniture. Each vendor will also be donating a portion of the proceeds to Seattle's Goodwill. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to add to stylish pieces to your wardrobe at a fraction of the price!

Introducing: fibi & clo

While in New York earlier this month for the Independent Fashion Bloggers conference I stumbled upon a stylish and affordable shoe line called fibi & clo. Founded by husband and wife team Michael Leen & AnaLiza Alba, the line, named after the couple's pet cats Fibi and Clo made it's debut in May of 2009. Featuring 8-14 new styles per season the line focuses on beautifully embellished sandals at an affordable price point. Most items in the line are priced at just $49.50.

Fashion Illustration at it's finest

As the fashion industry continues to become increasingly digital, high-quality fashion illustration has become a lost art form. Several weeks ago I stumbled upon Inslee by Design and instantly fell in love. Inslee Haynes has been drawing since childhood and launched her business during her sophomore year in college by selling sketches and note cards to her sorority sisters.

The product line includes stationary, note cards, tote bags, note pads, holiday cards, prints and framed originals. For $20 you can get your hands on an entire year's worth of beautiful Inslee Haynes illustrations via her 2013 desk top calendar (shown above).

The fashion circuit will appreciate the "Leg Parade" which is a watercolor illustration available in an 8x10 print.

Health nuts will appreciate the "let them eat kale" note pad with a stylish nod to Marie Antoinette.

And Jetsetters will appreciate the "Great Escape" print that can be easily framed at home.
Inslee recently designed the logo for Rachel Zoe's latest venture, DreamDry, a blow dry bar concept which made it's debut on Valentines Day in New York's Flatiron district.

Prints, cards and illustrations by Inslee Haynes are stylish, affordable and perfect for gift giving. She even does custom illustrations! Follow along on Twitter @Inslee.

Seattle's "The Look" makes it's debut tonight on King 5

Making it's debut tonight on King 5's Evening Magazine ten Seattle designers will compete in a reality show design series titled The Look. Each night clips from the design competition will be featured on Evening Magazine and the grand finale will air on a special edition of Evening Magazine, Monday, February 25th at 7pm.
The local designers include Justin Zachary Bartle, Gingerlyn Bellus, Sonia Chehade, Maxwell Cunanan, Julie Danforth, Lisa Vian Hunter, Iris Chuluunbat-Klein, Monica Kitchen, Deyonte' Weather and Tina Witherspoon.

During the competition the designers were given numerous design challenges that required them to sketch, select fabric and cut/sew garments to be fitted and sent down the runway within a 24-hour period. A panel of fashion experts then scored the garments based on a variety of criteria as they went down the runway and after each challenge a winner was selected. For the finale on February 25th, three designers will each present a 5-piece collection.

Event producers of The Look include Monir Zandghoreishi and Rose Dennis. Sponsors include IADT, 425 magazine, Nieman Marcus, Brand Buddee, Seattle International Textile Expo and more. Learn more about The Look on Facebook.
