The Stock List: Sell Your Sole

Belltown's Sell your Sole designer consignment boutique has received quite a bit of buzz lately- and for good reason. Owner Natalia Biner diligently keeps the store stocked with tons of great merchandise including apparel, accessories, shoes, jewelry and handbags from brands like Christian Louboutin, Vince Camuto, YSL, Prada, DVF, Gucci and more. Here's a peek at what's in stock now.

Lots, lots and lots of shoes including quite a few pairs of strappy sandals, Frye riding boots, Prada pumps, and more. Sizes vary and as always, the best stuff always goes FIRST!

Check out this Banane canvas tote (shown above) with a hot pink Birkin bag printed on the front. Super cute way to carry your groceries home from the store now that plastic bans are banished in Seattle.

These micro mini Rock & Republic shorts are the perfect way to show off long legs this summer. Love the epaulet detail on the sides and the gold hardware.

How adorable is this D&G blouse? It was paired in store with a black J. Crew pencil skirt but would be just as cute with a pair of dark wash ankle-length jeans.

This just might be the stairway to shoe heaven. Sell your Sole has a great upstairs loft featuring walls lined with shoes of all shapes and sizes. Stop by and see what's in store now!

Jump from Paper : In Stock Now at Charley + May

The first time I saw the Jump from Paper tote bags it took me a second to wrap my head around what I was seeing. The bags look like hand-drawn illustrations but they literally come to life, hence the name, Jump from Paper. Queen Anne boutique Charley + May is the first store in Seattle to be carrying these little gems.

The pink and yellow tote bags are in stock now. They make a great conversation piece and are definitely worthy of a double-take. The bags are large enough to fit a laptop and cool enough to become your new favorite bag.

4 Steps to Clear Skin

After years of battling lackluster skin I finally decided to get serious about skincare. My problem? Recurring blemishes on my chin that wouldn't go away despite countless visits to the dermatologist who did little more than prescribe me with a cocktail of prescription drugs. I did laser treatments, regular facials (including peels) and used all kinds of lotions and potions, but the breakouts always came back. Finally an esthetician recommended that I see a Naturopath for allergy testing. I was skeptical and a little surprised that no one had suggested this to me before, but I had nothing to lose so I booked an appointment. The test results came back within a week and the Naturopath informed me that I was highly allergic to gluten and yeast. Little did I know that gluten was in just about everything I was eating on a regular basis and it was in the foundation I was using everyday (L'Oreal True Match). After a few dietary changes and the use of some really great skincare products my blemishes are fading and under control. Here are a few of the products I'm using to keep my skin in check.

Vitanica Skin Assist - These dietary supplements are formulated to support blemish-free skin and balance the hormonal effect on the sebaceous glands and physiological functions of the skin. I take 3 pills once a day (with a meal) and find that consistent use helps keep my skin clear. The capsules are vegetarian and contain a mix of vitamins and herbs including Rosemary leaf, Burdock root, Saw Palmetto and Horsetail.

Clinique Acne Solutions Face Wash - The power behind this cleanser is the 2% salicylic acid which works to effectively cleanse the skin and help prevent new breakouts. A drugstore brand like Neutrogena Oil-Free acne wash will also work, it contains the same amount of salicylic acid, but I picked up the Clinique brand from Sephora and really liked it. This face wash also has really great reviews on Sephora.com and no, you don't need to use all three steps to see results.

REN Resurfacing AHA Concentrate - I normally wouldn't have picked out this product on my own but my Naturopath recommended it for helping to gently exfoliate my skin. It contains a complex of Glycolic, Lactic, Tartaric and Citric acids to promotes skin-cell turnover and help achieve brighter, smoother skin. After 2-3 uses my complexion was brighter and any existing blemishes were significantly reduced. Apply nightly for 7 days and then take 14 days off to achieve maximum exfoliation results. Another serum I really liked for helping with blemishes is the iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum.

Green Pastures Cod Liver Oil -
This product is a lifesaver and super good for you! I read about it on the Canadian Beauty site The Beauty Editor and ordered it right away. It's a great source of vitamins and will really make your skin *glow*. I had friends notice right away after I started taking it on a regular basis and still continue to take it as a supplement even when my skin is clear.

If you're suffering from a blemishes, keep your head up and try out some of these suggestions! Cutting out (or reducing) the amount of gluten, sugar, and yeast in your diet can also help. I highly recommend getting a food allergy test to see what foods may be triggering your breakouts. I wish I had done that a long time ago. Good luck and cheers to good skin!

Mobile Fashion Truck Hits the Streets of Seattle

Say hello to Kippy Ding Ding, Seattle's newest (and only) vintage fashion mobile.  Owners Allison and Amanda noticed that the city had a need for a mobile fashion boutique and decided to retrofit a 1965 Aristocrat Mainliner and stock it with vintage apparel, accessories and housewares. "We have a rule when it comes to vintage clothing. You have to try it on and you have to add a belt," says Allison.

The stylish duo met by chance at a Queen Anne cafe and decided to go into business together.  They stock a little bit of everything including handbags, belts, sunglasses, jewelry, vintage dresses, shoes and home decor.

Meet Kippy this weekend in the parking lot of the Interbay Whole Foods from 11am-4pm.  You can also follow Kippy Ding Ding on Twitter @TheKippy to find out where she'll be next. Hooray! Or, as Kippy would say, "Yay Vintage!"

The Stock List: Horseshoe

Lately mornings in the city have been marked with clouds and a little bit of thunder, but don't worry the forecast for this weekend is sunny and warm which means that your outfit plans for the Capitol Hill block party and Bite of Seattle festivities should include breezy dresses and stylish sandals. Ballard's Horseshoe boutique is fully stocked with everything you need to put the perfect summer outfit together. Take a look!

This striped little number by Loveappella is perfect for cruising around Capitol Hill while listening to your favorite bands and drinking a cold bevy. Pair with flip flops and prepare yourself for a good time!

If you're loving the tribal trend this season check out this Jacinta Dress by Eskell. It's 100% silk and has a beautiful asymmetrical hem. Wooden bracelets, a turquoise ring and a straw bag would be perfect way to complete this look.

This dress by Weston Wear has date night written all over it. A super chic print paired with carefully draped fabric make this dress extremely flattering and really easy to wear. Horseshoe owner Jill would probably wear this dress with a pair of cowboy boots but if you're worried about tan lines try a pair of sandals instead.

It was only a matter of time before the denim dress made it's humble return. From the waist up the Miller dress by Greylin looks like it could be a workwear jumpsuit but don't let the utilitarian look be deceptive, there are many ways to get this denim dress all dolled up. Add a belt, some lipstick and a pair of earrings and you're ready to rock & roll.

The right shoes can make or break an outfit. These striped wedge sandals by Splendid add interest to any outfit and show off a colorful pedicure. (Hint, Hint)

Last but not least, summer is the perfect time to stash your oversized handbag and walk out the door with something a bit smaller and more colorful. I love this Wenona Clutch by Cleobella with it's adorable gold leaf zipper pull.

Target tests Beauty Concierge Program

If you're like millions of women who shop for beauty products at big box stores like Target you've probably lingered for excessive amounts of time trying to figure out just what beauty products are right for you. With that in mind, Target is testing out a new Beauty Concierge Program that will put beauty advisors in the aisles of their Chicago-area stores to share product information, dispense samples and suggest skincare products and cosmetics carried by Target that might work best for each customer . The nine-month test program launched on Sunday and if it goes well the company could expand the Beauty Concierge program to over 400+ stores.

Nordstrom partners with Topshop

Oh how I love Top Shop. Let me count the ways.....

The first time I fell in love with Topshop was in London while shopping on Oxford street. Nevermind that I was on my honeymoon and already in a state of bliss- the fashion forward merchandise (and the prices) had me at hello. The amazingly stylish petites department, in-store cafe, cupcake kiosk and the Hershesons Blow Dry Bar were just icing on the cake. I would never have to leave........expect when I did have to leave and head back to Seattle where there were zero Topshop stores. These days I visit Topshop when I'm in New York or London but that's all about to change because this week Seattle-based retailer Nordstrom announced that it will partner with Topshop for special shop-in-shops inside 14 of their full-line stores. Nordstrom will dedicate 2500 square feet for women's apparel and accessories and another 1500 square feet to Topman. The shop-in-shops will make their debut in September and in addition to apparel will also feature shoes, handbags, make-up and grooming products. I cannot wait! Let the countdown to the September 10th debut begin!!!!

Here's a little sampling of what you'll find and fall in love with at Topshop:

Lace bodycon dress, $90

Lace peplum top, $72

Leather Jacket, $116

Geo triangle earrings, $20

Black platform sandals, $130
