Seattle has seen its fair share of apparel production in the city and Seattle Sewn is ready to bring it back in a meaningful way. Join us for Fashion Evolution, a fundraiser for Seattle Sewn on June 6th at The Riveter on Capitol Hill to learn more about this new initiative and how you can get involved. The event will include a local shopping marketplace, raffle prizes, silent auction, and a program highlighting Seattle's history in apparel production and the vision for how we can bring a portion of it back while also creating jobs and stimulating the economy. Proceeds from the event will go towards building a stronger sewn goods infrastructure in Seattle- from training and education to advocacy, outreach, production space, materials, and more. Tickets are $50, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to Seattle Sewn. Featured marketplace vendors include Filson, Freeman, Prairie Underground, Nube 9, and Ash & Ames. Drinks and light bites from Madres Kitchen are included in the ticket price. View the full press release
