Seattle Sewn to host fashion fundraiser June 1st at The Riveter

Seattle has seen its fair share of apparel production in the city and Seattle Sewn is ready to bring it back in a meaningful way. Join us for Fashion Evolution, a fundraiser for Seattle Sewn on June 6th at The Riveter on Capitol Hill to learn more about this new initiative and how you can get involved. The event will include a local shopping marketplace, raffle prizes, silent auction, and a program highlighting Seattle's history in apparel production and the vision for how we can bring a portion of it back while also creating jobs and stimulating the economy. Proceeds from the event will go towards building a stronger sewn goods infrastructure in Seattle- from training and education to advocacy, outreach, production space, materials, and more. Tickets are $50, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to Seattle Sewn. Featured marketplace vendors include Filson, Freeman, Prairie Underground, Nube 9, and Ash & Ames. Drinks and light bites from Madres Kitchen are included in the ticket price. View the full press release here.
