Fashion Calendar: YSL at SAM

The fashion community has been counting down the days until the Yves Saint Laurent exhibit The Perfection of Style opens at the Seattle Art Museum. Scheduled to run Oct. 11 - Jan. 8, the exhibit will showcase highlights from the designer's career spanning over four decades.

Intimate and comprehensive, the exhibit will feature a full range of garments including haute couture and ready-to-wear pieces, some of which have never been on public display. Divided into eight sections and spanning over 110 looks total, The Perfection of Style aims to reveal not only the designer's unique style but also his immense influence on the fashion industry. The museum will present a full calendar of programming in conjunction with the exhibit including talks by curators, fashion sketching sessions, and even YSL's favorite films. Highlights are below.
